A bouldering wall is formed from a lumber framework attached to an existing structure or supported by its own structure, then the framework is sheeted with plywood, creating the climbing surface.
When framing members butt up next to each other, they can be joined by wood screws at an angle through the face of one member into the side of the adjoining member. But we do not recommend using wood screws or nails only.
A good way to do this is using framing connectors. We offer various types of those steel connectors. Below are several common types that you would probably find them perfect for your bouldering wall projects also.
Type 1: Joist Hangers
Joist Hangers are designed to hold timber joists, they wrap around three sides of the wooden beam.
They offer a strong connection, they are able to withstand much more “ punishment” without warping or twisting. They are the most strong way of keeping the timbers together.
We have a variety of sizes to meet the unique need of your projects. If you would like to have the full range or regular sizes prices for reference, contact our team any time.
Type 2: Corner Connector.
